As the summer holiday comes to a close, kids are getting ready to go back to school and more people are getting ready to go back into the office. As this happens, we slowly start to see trends creep in when it comes to work and school fashion.
What are those trends you ask? Bag pins, colourful hair, chain necklaces, flannel jackets, smart jumpers, chunky jewellery and most of all tote bags. Secondary schools are full of teachers using them to carry files and students using them to carry text and exercise books and it makes sense!
Personally, I love using a tote bag because you can access its contents with ease and they strangely make me feel more confident and comfortable.
But, because there are so many people using these bags, its slowly becoming harder to find one that is unique, so many people are taking it upon themselves to create their own with new designs like the one above by @olivelynndesigns on Pinterest.
Ministry of Craft offer two workshops that can help out with the lack of tote-diversity, Learn to Sew in a Day, where you can make your very own tote and wash bag, leaving the room with new items and new skills! And Screen Printing, where you have the opportunity to create and print your own design onto a tote bag.
